Kelowna Child & Youth Counselling
Do you sense your child is struggling, even when they tell you they’re fine?
The goal is not to “fix” your child, but to help them better understand themselves, feel more capable, and navigate this stage of life with greater confidence.
Behaviour is a means for communication.
Does your teen seem different lately, but you’re not quite sure what’s going on beneath the surface?
Being a child or teen can come with more pressure than we sometimes realize.
Between school expectations, changing friendships, family dynamics, sibling relationships, growing independence, anxiety, and figuring out where they belong, there can be a lot happening beneath the surface.
Having a supportive space to make sense of these experiences can help young people feel less overwhelmed, better understood, and more confident navigating what comes next.
You are still becoming who you are. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
Kelowna Child & Youth Counselling with Anew Path Counselling gives teens a consistent, supportive space to understand what they’re experiencing and develop skills that can make school, relationships, family life, and everyday challenges feel more manageable.
Depending on what they’re navigating, counselling can help them:
Understand what’s beneath the behaviour: Withdrawal, mood changes, anger, or acting out can be signals that something deeper is going on.
Manage emotions and stress: Build practical ways to navigate anxiety, overwhelm, frustration, and other big emotions.
Communicate more openly: Develop language for what they’re feeling, needing, and experiencing in relationships.
Build confidence and identity: Explore who they are, strengthen self-esteem, and feel more secure in themselves.
Strengthen family relationships: When appropriate, parents or caregivers can be included to improve understanding and connection while respecting the youth’s individual process.
